Active internationally since the 1990s, You Fujimoto appeared in runway shows including Maison Martin Margiela. Drawing on her experience in front of the camera, she went on to lead the Tokyo-based model agency AMAZONE, while continuing her own career as a model. Moving between being seen and seeing others, she brings a singular presence shaped by decades within fashion. 1990年代より国内外でモデルとして活動し、Maison Martin Margielaのショーなどに出演。 自身の経験をもとに、東京のモデルエージェンシーAMAZONEを率いながら、現在もモデルとして活動を続けています。 見られる側と、人を見出す側。その両方を生きてきた時間が、他に代えのきかない存在感をかたちづくっています。
Working with Tosa Tengujo-shi, an exceptionally thin Japanese handmade paper, Aki Yamanaka dismantles Washi into individual fibers and reconstructs them into highly detailed figurative works. His practice crosses traditional craft, painting, and material-based contemporary art, revealing an entirely new visual language within a single sheet of paper. 世界でもっとも薄い手漉き和紙のひとつである「土佐典具帖紙」を、繊維の状態にまで解体し、再構築するAki Yamanaka。 伝統工芸、絵画、そして素材を基盤とする現代美術の領域を横断し、一枚の紙に潜む、まだ誰も見たことのない表現を立ち上げます。
